Christian Jordan

Christian Jordan obtained a Bachelor of Architecture from Philadelphia University where he graduated with the AIA Henry Adams Gold Medal and the Herman Goldstine Thesis Award.  He has been an adjunct professor in the university’s College of Architecture + the Built Environment since 2006.  Drawing upon the energy and focus of his thesis, he created the Experimental Modeling seminar that is designed to further a student’s understanding of emerging technologies, theories and techniques. Christian has been an active part of the architectural community in Philadelphia: previously volunteering as a lead volunteer for the Community Design Collaborative; moderating a panel discussion focused on emerging technologies in architecture in conjunction with AIA Philadelphia’s Young Architects Forum; and most recently as team leader for an installation in the engaging and successful Pearl Street Passage that was DesignPhiladelphia 2015’s signature event. Upon becoming licensed in 2012, Christian founded PJA Architecture with his father, Phillip.  His experience in the classroom and as a principal building an architecture firm has made him acutely aware of the importance in encouraging and developing young emerging professionals as they seek licensure.  He is looking forward to having the opportunity to utilize the many skills he has learned as a student, professor, architect, volunteer, and father to further the initiatives and directives as a Young Architect Regional Director.
