Shelter + Textile

In this project students examined the notion of shelter through the lens of Hundertwasser’s five skins and investigated the relationship of textile and shelter and its design implications. Analogous to Hundertwasser’s five layers, textiles were studied from the micro scale of fabric to the macro scale of a shelter and its potential for achieving sustainability added another layer. The students collaborated in teams from the architecture and textile design programs.
